Hebrew Calendar App Reviews

Good job on the Hebrew Calendar

The calendar is easy to use. BUT: it would be even better if it would integrate with the iPhone calendar (which I sync with my Outlook Calendar). That way, once I enter a Yahrezeit date, (and all the pre-entered Jewish Holiday dates) would show up on my Civil calendar on my iPhone. I wouldnt have to go to 2 places in order to check my appointments AND check for a Jewish holiday. That integration wouild make it much more useful to me.

A Great App for Gentiles Too!!

Im a Christian and understand the importance of the Hebrew/Jewish faith as the foundation for Christianity. Ive had this app for almost 2 years now and love it. Unfortunately, I missed the season of Teshuvah this year because there are no reminders/alerts for events and it doesnt sync with iPhones calendar. This is the one thing that I would love to have updated with this app. 5-stars when that happens. Thanks in advance.

Hebrew Calendar

I have just started to enter my yahrzeits and other Hebrew dates. I miss a feature on the iTouch that seemed to be second nature on my old PalmPilot: The ability to scroll YEARS instead of having to go by months. A "Go to date" feature would help on both the iTouch calendar and the Hebrew Calendar (AND the iTouch calendar!). A roll-dial such as used for the time of appointments is all that is needed. Entering data in Hebrew Calendar, very straightforward. The "List" feature is also very helpful. I guess I did not read the description carefully enough - MY bad - and I guess I had this program confused with another that gives Zmanim. Will have to get one of those now also. I had a really good one on the Palm called ZmanIII but I have not seen anything comparable in the iTunes store - so I guess I will have live with what I can find. The other feature that my Tamar program had on the Palm is one that I think others would really appreciate: The ability to export dates from the Hebrew Calendar to the iTouch calendar. (I will also miss the export of the Parshiot and other significant dates.) Oh well, the Palm is dying a slow and protracted death so I will just have to get used to a new environment. Summary: A worthwhile app that, for the price, needs a some tweaking to make it great.

No Lunar Calendar?

I almost missed the first night of chanukah for december 2010 because the hebrew calendar app shows that the first night of chanukah is thursday when chanukah eve is actually Wednesday. The Hebrew calendar is only showing the dates for the gregorian calendar instead of erev rosh hashanna, erev yom kippur. Jewish calendar goes according to the lunar calendar not solar. This is critical and none of the iphone, ipad hebrew calendars addressed this issue yet. Please fix asap. It would also be nice to integrate with ical.

Reminders

Great app. It would be nice to be able to have the option to set a reminder for events.

Not using this app...

But patiently waiting for "ALARM" setting. Without alarm, still using iPhone calendar. An alarm feature is long long over due. I downgraded for lack of Alarm feature.

candle-lighting

This app does not indicate the candle-lighting time. It needs to be further developed so that you can select a time zone, and then it needs to indicate the time the sun sets in that particular part of the world.

Alarm needed!

The calendar have to have an event alarm. Without such feature not much of a use.

No response

Superior product but does not update date from day to day on iPhone 4, due to being held in multitasking. I have made several requests over last couple of months but no response and their web site no longer is found. Did they abandon us?

Cannot use civil calendar to set event.

Can not set event with civil calendar. Have to use Hebrew calendar. Please add an option to change calendar when setting events. Could use a search.

Disappointing

I wanted an ap to keep track of dates, Yarrzheits, etc. This ap doesnt do it. I tried to set the date of my fathers death. Cant do it. Cannot set the year. Cannot see date in western(gregorian) calendar. On looking over year cannot remove multiple minor holidays that clog up the calendar. Could not see my dates easily even if I could enter them. Whoever wrote this ap apparently never test drove it. Does he care? As it is, not worth it even if it were free, which it was not...

Miserable!

No alarm. Not possible to delete idiotic Israeli memorial dates etc. Minimal functionality. Zmanim terribly limited. No location for Spring Valley NY, but for Zimbabwe ?? Cant do it right?!

No support

I an very disappointed. After paying for the app and not finding the weekly sedrot that were promised, the URL to app support is a dead end! I feel cheated and without recourse!

Unhappy

Terrible! Costs money. Doesnt work. No support.

Best calendar app

From all the calendars that I have this is the most easiest one to understand and very easy to use. Shows all the zmanim of the day and beginning and end of shabbos. I have this app for about 4 year and I dont know what I would do without it. I only wish that they would update it for the side of the screen for iphone 5.

Hebrew calendar

Easy to use, store anniversary, yahrzeit, birthdays with alert reminders. Format is similar to iPhone calendar . Records appointments/ diary entries, but no history of more than a couple months.

Problem still not working

Not working with the new upgrade for iPhone 7 please make it work thanks

Abandoned product ?
